Originally built in 1976, Polarfront served as a Norwegian meteorological station until 2010. After retiring from that role, the ship underwent significant upgrades and was converted into a research and expedition vessel for Arctic voyages. In 2018, it was fully renovated to offer a premium travel experience with modern amenities.
A standout feature is its advanced stabilization system – a rare addition on a vessel of this size – designed to minimize motion and ensure a smooth and pleasant voyage, even in challenging weather conditions.
